This study compares legal systems governing land acquisition for public interest in Indonesia, Malaysia, China, and the United States. It examines the legal basis, procedural mechanisms, compensation systems, protection of land rights, and dispute resolution processes in each country. The study uses a normative comparative legal approach. It shows how different legal traditions shape state authority in acquiring land for development.
