Plagiarism Policy

Applied Science and Technology on Naval Engineering (ASTNE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity. All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism before entering the peer-review process.

The journal uses Turnitin to evaluate the similarity of submitted manuscripts. A manuscript with an overall similarity index exceeding 25% may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, depending on the nature and extent of the overlap.

The following practices are considered unacceptable:

• Plagiarism of another person's work, ideas, figures, or data without proper acknowledgment.
• Self-plagiarism or duplicate publication without appropriate citation.
• Data fabrication or data falsification.
• Improper citation practices or citation manipulation.
• Submission of a manuscript that has been published or is under consideration by another journal.

Editorial Action

If plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified before publication, the manuscript may be rejected or returned to the authors for correction. If misconduct is discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, retract the article, and notify the authors' affiliated institutions when appropriate.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all submitted manuscripts are original and that all sources are properly cited in accordance with accepted academic and ethical standards.
