Focus and Scope

Yuridis is particularly interested in publishing cross-border legal analyses that address legal issues arising in Indonesia and other countries across the Global South. This journal aims to provide a comparative and interdisciplinary forum dedicated to disseminating current analyses on constitutionalism, international governance, human rights law, environmental law, technology law, and legal pluralism from a Global South perspective.

While the scope is not limited to Indonesia, submitted manuscripts may address the following topics:

• Critically examining contemporary issues in law and human rights;
• Applying environmental sustainability regulations to development challenges in developing countries;
• Evaluating legal frameworks relating to technology and the advancement of digital economic power;
• Engaging in critical analysis of law and development within the global economy and its impact on post-colonial states; and
• Examining issues of gender, disability, and social inclusion.

All submissions, ranging from socio-legal to theoretical approaches, will be considered for review and publication. However, preference will be given to manuscripts that adopt a comparative and cross-disciplinary approach. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts that:

• Address law and its social, economic, and political contexts in Indonesia and developing countries;
• Bring an Indonesian perspective to socio-legal issues of international concern; or
• Use Indonesia as a starting point for comparative exploration of legal discourse.
