Author Guidelines

Yuridis welcomes original manuscript submissions through the Online Journal System (OJS) available at https://ejournal.upnvj.ac.id/Yuridis. All correspondence regarding revision, acceptance, or rejection of manuscripts will be communicated through OJS and email. Authors must resubmit all revised manuscripts through the OJS platform.

1. General Requirements

Manuscripts must be original and have not been previously published in any journal, proceeding, or other scholarly publication.
Manuscripts must not be under review or consideration for publication in any other journal at the time of submission.
Manuscripts must represent the results of empirical legal research or conceptual legal analysis relevant to the development of law and society.
Authors must cite at least one relevant article previously published in Yuridis as a reference.
All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by a minimum of two reviewers.
Manuscripts confirmed as suitable for publication must submit proof of plagiarism clearance, with a similarity index not exceeding 25% as checked by Turnitin.

2. Publication Charges

Online version: Free of charge (No Article Processing Charge).
Print version: Authors requesting one printed copy will be charged Rp100.000,- per copy.

3. Manuscript Preparation

Authors must follow the formatting requirements below. Manuscripts that do not conform to these requirements may be returned without review.

3.1 Language

Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian with clear, precise, and academic language.
Authors writing in English are strongly encouraged to have their manuscript proofread by a native speaker or professional language editor prior to submission.

3.2 Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts must be structured as follows:

Title: Concise, informative, and reflecting the main topic of the research. Maximum 15 words.
Author Name(s) and Affiliation(s): Full name(s) without academic titles, followed by institutional affiliation, city, country, and email address of the corresponding author.
Abstract: A single paragraph of 150 to 250 words summarizing the research problem, objective, method, findings, and conclusion.
Keywords: Minimum 3 and maximum 5 keywords, written in alphabetical order and separated by semicolons.
Introduction: Background of the study, statement of the problem, research objectives, and brief overview of the legal issues addressed.
Research Method: Type of legal research, approach used, legal materials or data sources, and method of analysis.
Results and Discussion: Presentation and analysis of findings in relation to existing legal theories, norms, and literature.
Conclusion: Clear and concise answers to the research problem, without repeating the discussion. May include policy recommendations where relevant.
References: All cited sources listed in accordance with the citation style adopted by the journal.

3.3 Manuscript Length and Format

Manuscript length: 6,000 to 10,000 words, including references.
Paper size: A4.
Font: Times New Roman, 12pt, with 1.5 line spacing.
Margins: 3 cm on all sides.
File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

3.4 Citation and Referencing Style

Yuridis uses the footnote citation style in accordance with Indonesian legal writing conventions.
All references must be listed at the end of the manuscript in alphabetical order.
A minimum of 20 references is required, with at least 80% sourced from journal articles published within the last 10 years.
Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure citation accuracy and consistency.

4. Submission Procedure

Authors must register an account at https://ejournal.upnvj.ac.id/Yuridis before submitting a manuscript. Authors who already have an account may log in directly.
After logging in, proceed with the five-step submission process: (1) Start; (2) Upload Submission; (3) Enter Metadata; (4) Upload Supplementary Files; (5) Confirmation.
Authors must complete all required metadata fields accurately, including title, abstract, keywords, and author information.
The following documents must be uploaded as supplementary files:
- Plagiarism check result (Turnitin similarity report).
- AI-generated content detection result.
- Declaration of Manuscript Eligibility Regarding AI Use.
- Cover letter (optional but recommended).
Authors can monitor the status of their submission at any time through the OJS dashboard. Notification of editorial decisions will be sent via OJS and email.
