Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Penyerahan belum diterbitkan sebelumnya, atau sedang dalam pertimbangan jurnal lain (atau sebuah penjelasan belum disediakan dalam komentar kepada editor).
  • File naskah dalam format file dokumen OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, atau WordPerfect.
  • Ketika tersedia, URLs untuk referensi telah disediakan.
  • Teks 1 spasi; font 11; italic; tidak digaribawahi (kecuali alamat URL); dan semua ilustrasi, figur, dan tabel yang ditempatkan di dalam teks pada poin yang tepat, jangan di akhir.

Author Guidelines

The author must only submit a manuscript that has been carefully corrected. The accepted manuscript is the original version or an extended version of a previously published paper in a conference and/or journal, and if the work has received official sponsorship, it must be released for open publication. Before submission, make sure your manuscript is prepared using the Ekspresi dan Persepsi: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi manuscript template. Authors should refer to the Ekspresi dan Persepsi: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi manuscript template (please download and use it as the template for initial submission). This will ensure fast processing and publication. Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements based on the author guidelines will not be processed.

The minimum standard requirements for the Ekspresi dan Persepsi: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi Journal are as follows:

  • Written in English.
  • The submitted paper must be between 10 and 15 pages long. Editors will evaluate if the paper exceeds 15 pages.
  • It is highly recommended to use tools like Mendeley/Zotero/EndNote/other reference management tools, and choose APA Style.
  • Ensure your manuscript is prepared using the Ekspresi dan Persepsi: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi manuscript template.
  • The manuscript should be prepared and follow the recommended structure:
  1. Title: The article title should be a maximum of 12 words, without acronyms or abbreviations.
  2. Abstract: The abstract should consist of a maximum of 100-150 words; no citations. The abstract should briefly mention the main objectives, design, methodology, results, and conclusions of the study.
  3. Section Structure: Authors are advised to present their article in the following structure: Introduction - Methodology - Results and Discussion - Conclusion.
  4. References: A minimum of 10-20 references, with at least 80% sourced from national/international journals, and 20% from textbooks/e-books and other secondary data.

Proposed Policy for Journals Offering Open Access

Terms that must be fulfilled by Authors:

  • Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the first publication rights of the manuscript simultaneously with a license under the Creative Commons Attribution License, allowing others to share the work with an attribution of the authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  • Authors may enter into additional contractual arrangements for non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version (e.g., posting it to institutional repositories or publishing it in a book), with acknowledgment of the initial publication in this journal.
  • Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their own websites) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, such as earlier and more significant citations of the published work.

Proposed Policy for Journals Offering Delayed Open Access

Authors publishing with this journal agree to the following terms:

  • Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the first publication rights, with a [SPECIFY TIME PERIOD] delay after publication, simultaneously with a license under the Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows others to share the work with recognition of the initial publication and authorship in this journal.
  • Authors may enter into additional contractual arrangements for non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version (e.g., posting it to institutional repositories or publishing it in a book), with acknowledgment of the initial publication in this journal.
  • Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their own websites) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, such as earlier and more significant citations of the published work.
