The issue of gender inequality is still a significant problem in society, including in Pondok Labu Subdistrict, South Jakarta. Women often experience double burdens and limited participation in the public and domestic spheres. Given the importance of this issue, a community service activity is conducted to enhance public understanding of gender equality, with a focus on families and communities. The methods used are lectures and interactive discussions, preceded by observation, field research, and pre-tests to identify participants' initial understanding. Counselling targets subdistrict officials, local communities, housewives, and family heads with materials related to gender, stereotypes, and the role of women. The results of the post-test showed a 20% increase in participants' understanding. This activity proves that a community-based educational approach is effective in increasing gender awareness. These results are crucial as a foundation for enhancing the role of families and communities in fostering a more inclusive and gender-sensitive environment.
