Journal History

The Journal of Information Systems and Applications (JSIA) was officially launched in June 2023 with the publication of its inaugural issue, Volume 1, Number 1. The journal holds the Electronic International Standard Serial Number (E-ISSN): 3025-9347.

JSIA was established as a national peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to advancing research and scholarly discourse in the fields of Information Systems and Information Technology. The journal publishes original research articles, conceptual studies, and applied innovations in areas such as Information Systems, Information Technology, Databases, Big Data, E-Learning, Business Information Systems, and Artificial Intelligence, particularly those related to system implementation and practical applications.

The successful release of the inaugural issue was made possible through the dedication and collaborative efforts of the editorial board, peer reviewers, and supporting contributors. Through a rigorous peer-review process, JSIA ensures that all published manuscripts meet academic standards and contribute meaningfully to the body of knowledge in Information Systems.

The first issue featured 10 selected articles authored by 30 researchers representing 7 universities and institutions across Indonesia, including Universitas Gunadarma, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta, Universitas Sriwijaya, Universitas Bina Nusantara, Universitas Indraprasta PGRI (Unindra), UPN Veteran Jawa Timur, Universitas Budi Luhur, and ESQ Business School. This broad institutional representation reflects JSIA’s commitment to fostering scholarly collaboration at the national level.

Since its establishment, JSIA has aimed to serve as an academic platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate innovative ideas and impactful research findings. The journal continuously strives to improve its quality, visibility, and contribution to the advancement of Information Systems research.

JSIA welcomes submissions for future issues and encourages constructive feedback to strengthen its academic rigor and reputation in both national and international scholarly communities.
