In 2018 we submitted an electronic version of the ISSN and received an e-ISSN number 2621-1122. Since then, we have transformed into electronic scientific journals and want to improve their journal management according to existing standards. Our first reference point was the national journal accreditation guidelines. We have adjusted all aspects of the guideline, starting from involving competent reviewers partners, in order to provide valuable input for each published manuscript. Likewise, with the addition of several rules such as adjusting the article template (3 changes have been made on 2007, 2017 and 2020) having a DOI prefix of 10.33533 (on January 2019), completing the writing style, adding rules for retraction and text withdrawal, in collaboration with the national tobacco control.
Based on significant changes from 2018, we are successfully national indexed in Sinta 3 and also indexed in DOAJ. To improve the quality of our services, in December 2019, started using various platforms for journal promotion. In 2023 we have adjusted to several template criteria in order to compete on a global scale. Along with several other strategies, such as involving external editors as well as international reviewers. Not mention using English for all OJS system and published article since then. We hope that Jurnal Profesi Medika : Jurnal Kedokteran dan Kesehatan can become a reputable journal in the fields of medicine and health internationally.
