Abstract

PPOK termasuk didalamnya adalah bronkitis kronis dan emfisema, merupakan penyakit paru kronik, ditandai oleh hambatan aliran udara di saluran nafas, bersifat progressif nonreversibel atau reversibel parsial. Penatalaksanaan PPOK secara umum bertujuan untuk mencegah progresivitas dari penyakit, mengurangi gejala, meningkatkan toleransi aktivitas, meningkatkan status kesehatan, mencegah dan menangani komplikasi, mencegah dan menangani eksaserbasi, dan menurunkan angka kematian Fisioterapi dapat berperan dalam menurunkan sesak, menurunkan nyeri dada, dan meningkatkan mobilitas sangkar thoraks sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup dan aktivitas fungsional pasien. Tujuan studi ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas program fisioterapi dengan chest fisioterapi, stretching dan breathing exercise pada pasien PPOK.
