Abstract
Poverty is one of the major problems faced by governments, particularly in developing countries. Indonesia continues to struggle with poverty issues, particularly in West Papua Province. Despite its rich natural resources and potential to support economic growth, West Papua Province has yet to effectively optimize these resources, resulting in high poverty levels in the region. This study aims to evaluate the impact of the Human Development Index, Open Unemployment Rate, and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on poverty levels in the 13 regencies/cities of West Papua Province from 2017 to 2022. The analysis reveals several key findings: first, there is a significant negative relationship between the Human Development Index and poverty; second, there is a significant negative relationship between the Open Unemployment Rate and poverty; and third, there is a significant positive relationship between GRDP and poverty.
